Since season 2007 TDRT has been participating in the prestigious International GT Championchips with one and two cars. Since then the underpowered FXR race car still had to win its first race in this league  - and so had team TDRT. After some podium finishes and an overall 4th position back in season 2008, last weekend a little dream came true for TDRT as Danish Torben Jessen together with his carmate German Sebastian Fischer secures the first win for TDRT and the FXR...

Pleasent surprise after having finished the German organized LFS-Touring-Car-Championships which is a "DTM" tribute series and inofficial International Online Championships powered by Race-Star as Danish TDRT driver Torben Jessen got nominated for the "Best Newcomer 2010" in this series. In addition team TDRT got nominated for "Best Team 2010". Jessen, Kolz, Farmer, Svensson, Farmer and Fischer secured at the very end an overall third position for team TDRT. Fischer overall 4th in the individual points standings with same number of points as third. The overall winner of this season was German Phil Rose. Best team after 10 rounds was Team RACE-STAR ConverTTable. TDRT is looking forward to meeting the German Top Drivers once more in year 2011.

IGTC - Standings and TDRT racers comments after Round 3

So far all of year 2010 wasn´t a good one for the Danish Racing Team. But the good IGTC race at Aston North, were Swedish Oldster Mikael Svensson together with his German carmate Sebastian Fischer secured important points for this years season, gave the team some hopes back. TDRT managed to finish a very good 6th position. Comments from both of them under the standings table:

TDRT M.Svensson: "I took over the TDRT car after 1 hour with one mission only: to race a very long 1hours 12 minutes race stint so Sebastian could take the final two stint. It started with two safety car periods and my tires were not good as they became very cold and I did everything to keep them warm. The car went well at first split and second split, but on the back straight the car was slow and it was a hassle to constantly being overtaken. I want to thank Sebastian for an enjoyable evening and a very well run as well as to teammate Dave Farmer for taking care of the IRC channel." 

TDRT Sebastian Fischer: "This was an intense race with so many fights for positions, safety car periods and much more - great fun to drive. It nearly felt like a touringcars race and not like a endurance event. Thanks to carmate Mikael for his good job at his long stint and thanks to Dave for his backup. I was a bit suprised that we managed to finish on 6th position. The race restart was lucky for us, because we had minor engine damage just before. My "gear down" button on my wheel malfunctioned.. Sometimes it just wouldn´t shift down and sometimes it did it twice. All in all the best season result so far.

Round 4 will be held at Westhill on the 3th of July. It´s not at all a track for the 4WD TDRT FXR race car. Any Top 10 position would be considered another round win at IGTC season 2010.
